Foundry core production

Foundry cores are used to shape those parts of castings that cannot be formed solely by a mould or tooling. They are suitable for:

• sand moulds,
• gravity casting,
• low-pressure casting.

Cores are made from sand that retains its shape through the use of chemical binders.

Core hardening processes

Core making machines are divided into:

Cold processes:

• Cold Box, CO₂, Beta set - fast cycles, high precision, ideal for batch production.

Hot processes:

• Croning (shell moulding), Hot Box – exceptionally strong cores, suitable for complex shapes and high productivity.

Machine configurations

Depending on tool layout, the following configurations are available:

• machines with vertical parting,
• machines with horizontal parting,
• combined systems.

This enables coverage of a wide range of core shapes, sizes and complexity levels.
